Instow

Instow lies on the opposite bank of the Torridge to Appledore. It is a pictureesque, dog-friendly estuary village. Famous for its sweeping sandy beach, stunning coastal views, and spectacular sunsets. It is a highly popular year-round destination for families, walkers, and sailors.

You can either catch the ferry from Appledore or travel by road.

Westward Ho!

Westward Ho! is a unique seaside vileage. Famous for being the only place in the UK with an exclamation mark in its name. It’s up of a long sandy beach backed by a pebble ridge with Northam Burrows Country Park accessible at one end - Dogs Allowed on one section in summer month's.

Saunton Sands

Saunton sands beach  is an idyllic 3-mile stretch of stunning golden sand, backed by the UNESCO-protected Braunton Burrows Biosphere Reserve. Dog friendly.

Croyde

Croyde beach is a world renowned, sandy surfing destination backed by dunes, located in an a designated area of outstanding natural beauty - No dogs at any time of year.

Putsborough Beach

Putsborough is a stunning, privately owned stretch of sand renowned for its clear waters, relaxed atmosphere and excellent surfing conditions. The beach stretches north for 2 miles to Woolacombe. Parking and facilities are close to the beach. Dog friendly but only allowed on designated sections betwwn April 1st and October 31st.

Woolacombe

Woolacombe Beach is a renowned 3 mile stretch of golden sand in North Devon, frequently voted among the best in the UK and Europe for families and surfers. Dogs allowed in two of the 3 sections. In one section dogs must be on a lead at all times and another section dogs are allowed off lead.
